The keyboard shortcut for full screen shots has been the same since it was implemented on the 128K Macintosh. Command-Shift-3. Only want part of the scree? Command-Shift-4. Consistent, simple and usable. If you’re new to the Mac and don’t know how to do it, it’s not that difficult a task to look in the online help. If you don’t like the existing three-key shortcut, change it using the Keyboard Shortcuts options in the Keyboard & Mouse preferences. Done.
