    Should do this

yeah def not digging the glossy… def should bring back the matte option. i am putting off buy a new comp for just that reason!

    Should do this

I live in an apartment….limited space. My computer has a huge window behind it so there is NO WAY I can work on a glossy screen. I am hoping that we will see the return of the matte (option) at Macworld this year.

    Should do this

I desperately want to upgrade my iMac, but I just can’t buy a gloss screen. My office/window lighting is such that its a nightmare. And I really just don’t like the over saturated look of the gloss. Please please change the screen so I can upgrade!

    Should do this

If the glossy screen is easily cleanable (i.e. with a shirt sleeve) without scratching, it’s not too bad, and the increase in brightness and contrast IS remarkable, and will always be higher than what you’ll get out of a matte screen with the same resources. My MacBook screen is a mess though, full of dust, finger smudges, and scratches (!) from me cleaning off said dust and smudges with said shirt sleeve. But, yeah, make matte an option for those who want color accuracy!

    Should do this

I actually didn’t buy a new iMac because of the glossy screen.

    Should do this

I personally adore the glossy screen on my new iMac, but the option should be available to those who don’t like it (and from the sound of the blogonets, there are many in that camp).

    Should do this 1 cheer

The new iMac is awesome, but without a matte screen option, it’s useless for anyone who needs exact color reproduction. At least offer a matte screen as a build-to-order option!
