    Should do this

I’m generally happy with .mac but find the synching quite flaky. I’ve nuked my address book by accident by adding an address from Mail.app while an automatic sync was occurring and i’ve had problems with the iDisk sync since the upgrade.

I can appreciate snc is a hard problem, but the flakiness stands in my way of recommending it to others.

    Should do this

should just collaborate with google for this:

    Has done this

I think .mac does just fine for my needs. I find the ability to sync personal information between multiple computers to be invaluable, and the increases in bandwidth and storage capacity were more than welcome. If .mac wasn’t good enough before, it’s perfect now.

    Should do this

While the gallery is a nice addition – bandwith in europe is totally lacking (maxed out at 80KB/s).

    Should do this

Remember when iTools was free?? :P

    Should do this

I am generally quite happy with .Mac. But it could be so much more.

I would love to see an Apple sub-notebook with GPS and strong Google maps integration. With some GPS love as well. Lots of on-line location awareness stuff.

Add to this integration with Google Docs, saving, loading (to and from Google Docs), syncing with my Mac.

Oh and cut the cost by 50%.

    Should do this 1 cheer

I was using .mac for backups but I can’t justify the cost. I think .mac should be free.
