    Should do this

I love my Mac-Mini. I bought a G4 MacMin soon after they came out, that my daughter and her husband inherited after my wife bought me a Core Duo MacMIni for my birthday this year. (lovely woman) It is quiet, portable and does what I need. At this price point I will upgrade my Mac EVERY YEAR!!! I cannot afford to buy an iMac or tower every year. And besides, where would it fit on my desk??? I have a Core 2 Duo MacBook but my first love is still my MacMini. And YES! the ram should be able to be easily replaced without freaking surgery.

    Should do this

Despite the recent refresh to Core 2 Duo, the Mini got no love from Jobs during the press event. Further, it’s not a great value proposition on specs (comparing it to the iMac for example).

However, it’s an awesome form factor, and a real temptation for someone wanting to get into the Mac clan who (like me) already has a nice flat panel monitor.

So, if they could boost performance a bit (better graphics card, maybe 7200rpm HDD) and drop the price maybe 15%, I think they’d get a ton of converts. (Oh, and access to memory and the HDD from outside, say like the way you can with most laptops, would be very nice.)

This is the time to kick MS in the nuts (while Vista is on everyones poo-poo list). Offer this as a gateway drug!
